Or you can turn it on simply placing something under it. There is a proximity sensor that does it.
Moen 7594ESRS Arbor kitchen faucet with Motionsense is by far my favorite hands free kitchen faucet. Because
Use the handle to adjust the temperature and pressure. After that, you don’t need to touch it at all. And you can choose whether you want to use it with batteries or AC adapter! If you use the AC, then you have no worries about changing batteries. Check details >>>
Researching and comparing touchless kitchen faucets, I found this KOHLER K-72218-VS Sensate. This is another great kitchen faucet that you can operate without even touching.
I like the minimalistic design, and I like the look of it even better indeed than that of the Arbor faucet. But there are also a couple of things that I don’t like quite as much.
The motion sensor is built right under the arch of the gooseneck. It won’t necessarily turn the faucet on when you just put your hand or pot under it. You will have to get used to the way how it “feels” the movement. But once you’ve caught it, that should not be a problem at all.
It does not use batteries as an alternative power source. It just runs on AC. And it is more expensive than Moen touchless kitchen faucets.
But it is just so beautiful! Find details >>>

While kitchen faucets with hands-free sensors are very modern and a great enhancement for nearly all types of kitchen, there are a number of things to be aware of.
Things to know about hands-free kitchen faucets:
1. They will need to be switched off when cleaning the sink to prevent them from turning on and off.
2. Sometimes it is not enough to place an item under the faucet to turn it on. It may need some additional gestures.
3. Pets or other moving objects like curtains can turn the faucet on. The faucet will turn off after a few minutes. But that can cause some frustration, especially if you’re not aware of.
4. If AC power is used (some faucets don’t even offer usage of batteries), the faucet will be turning on every time power is restored after a cut. If power cuts are typical in your area, it might be a good idea to turn the faucet off manually before the night to keep yourself from being woken up by running water.
The hands-free function streamlines the kitchen chores. It makes preps cleaner and washing up easier. But they don’t work quite as conventional kitchen faucets.
